Saturday/Sunday camp out and (optional) dive. You are welcome to show up for either day. The water will likely be COLD, so unless you are a charter member of the Polar Bear club you should have a 7mm, a dry suit, or equivalent. Therefore, diving is optional, but the weather should great for camping!!

Our previous weekend campouts were so much fun we decided to do it again. When you check in tell them you are with the Houston Scuba Group. We will reserve a specific space for our group (TBD, probably will be Lagoon 2 Shelter 6 or Flashpoint) which has plenty of tent space and a nice entry point to the water. Pics of our overnight event last year are here ...check them out and then RSVP!
Admission to Blue Lagooon is $16 (Blue Lagoon accepts only cash) per person per day. Air and Nitrox are available on site. Blue Lagoon has a new updated web site. Go there for more details. When you checkin at the front, just ask for directions to the spot assigned for Houston Scuba Group.
This event is also posted on FaceBook.
Agenda:
Spend a relaxing day exploring the water views, woods and campgrounds. In the evening, a campfire with smores, marshmellows, hotdogs, lots of liquor, and lots of laughing! Then an overnight camp under the stars. In the morning, coffee and a hearty breakfast. A great way to unwind and connect with nature!
Please share your thoughts about communal cooking and food sharing...seems to have worked well for us in the past. Mark will bring the firewood for our campfire (bring your smoores!), a portable charcoal pit, and a camping stove (coffee and breakfast). Bring whatever food, utinsils & drinks you would like. Also, you should bring folding chairs.
